e shoot – Cassandra + Aidan

I thought I would post a few recent engagement sessions for your viewing pleasure.

First up is the lovely Cassandra and Aidan. I will be photographing their wedding very soon and I am very much looking forward to it.

Melissa + Stephen

I recently had the pleasure in photographing the wedding of Melissa & Stephen. They are very good friends with one of my past favorite Bride and Groom’s : Carling & James. So I knew this was also going to be a fun wedding.

They had their ceremony at St Andrews in the city, following that we headed to GOMA for some photo fun before making our way to the reception at Victoria park.

The Groomsmen were ‘Animated’  :)

Stephen’s father officiated the ceremony

Aren’t they a gorgeous couple!

Michelle + Adam | Brisbane Wedding

Michelle and Adam have been together now for quite a few years. They have two gorgeous boys (and a few greyhounds). So when it came to their wedding, they kept it intimate and simple. A warm ceremony with friends and family on the boardwalk over looking Springfield lake.

Following the ceremony we walked around the lake taking in the sunset before heading to the reception at the Springfield lake hotel function room.

Jaimie + Ashley | Hope Island Wedding

I traveled down to the beautiful Links Hope Island down at the Gold Coast recently to photograph the wedding of Jaimie and Ashley.

I could tell when I photographed their engagement session that the wedding was going to be fun, and it certainly didn’t disappoint.  The whole day was filled with laughter (and the occasional tear) and a lot of fun was had on the location shoot. Following which, we headed into the reception also at hope island.

I did have fierce competition on the photography front

Amber + David | Cathedral of St Stephen Wedding

Amber & David were recently married at Cathedral of St Stephen in the city. The whole day was a lot of fun and it was a pleasure to spend the day with the very warm and very much in love Amber and David.

We started out with Amber  and her gorgeous bridesmaids at the Marriott hotel before heading to the boys who were waiting in anticipation at the church. St Stephens was bathed in beautiful afternoon light as the ceremony took place.

Following the ceremony, we went to a few spots around the city for photos before heading to the reception at Customs House. I love shooting at customs house and the view of the bridge is always awesome.

A great night then ensued with delicious food and entertainment.

The girls all wrote their names on the bottom of Amber’s shoe, whoever’s name was still there at the end of the night was supposedly going to be the next to marry.

I love this little moment between Father and Daughter.

Time to play ‘spot the bride and groom’ game :)

I love this reflection shot

David is a jeweler, so of course they had great rings!

Some reception details

Tamara + Paul | Whitsunday Destination Wedding

Another destination wedding in a beautiful tropical location this week. Yes I know, I have a hard life :)

This time I traveled up to the spectacular Whitsundays for the wedding of  Tamara and Paul. Tamara is the sister of another of my past brides Katie, whose wedding with Farren I photographed a few years ago .

Tamara and Paul chose to have their wedding at the Coral Sea Resort which has a great outlook over the beautiful Whitsunday islands and their crystal clear waters. The whole day had a fun relaxed vibe to match the location.

As if on cue, dolphins frolicked close by just after the ceremony.

How peaceful is this view..

Alexei + Craig |Mount Tamborine Wedding

I recently travelled down to Mount Tamborine to photograph the wedding of the relaxed and fun loving Alexei & Craig.

Their ceremony, which had it’s fair share of laughter and warmth was held at Cedar Creek Lodges at the base of the mountain. We then went up the top of the mountain for some photos and to watch the sun set over the picturesque valley below, before heading back down to cedar creek lodges for the outdoor reception in the Island Glade.

I love a laughter filled ceremony

I loved that they danced to a Foo Fighter’s track played by their friend on guitar.

Victoria + Rhys | Customs House Wedding

Victoria and Rhys have a very special love for each other that is obvious from the moment you see them. I have been looking forward to capturing Victoria and Rhys’ special day for quite a while, as I knew it was going to be fun and heart felt.

They chose Broadway chapel for their ceremony, followed by the photo location shoot at UQ St Lucia as that is where they spent a lot of their years together.

The reception was then held at the always amazing Customs House in the city.

In a moment that I am sure they will look back and giggle at, at one stage during the ceremony, they had THREE celebrants!!  :)

I just love the feeling in this one:

Amanda + Matt | Burleigh Beach Wedding

Amanda and Matt had a relaxed intimate ceremony down at Burleigh Headland. With the aqua waves rolling by it was a beautiful setting for Amanda and Matt to formalize their relationship.

They then had their reception with close family and friends at Oskars on Burleigh.

I loved how happy they were all day.

Their son Nathan was the cute little ring bearer

I will soon have the honour of photographing all three sister’s weddings. I photographed Rebecca & Doug’s wedding about 3 years ago, and Jo’s wedding is coming up next year.

Moria + Lewis

So much to blog!….so little time!.. Wedding season is well and truly in full swing!

I photographed the wedding of Moria and Lewis recently. Moria is the mother of one of my past grooms ( Darren -from Darren and Lisa) So it was great to be part of this awesome family’s day again.

The wedding ceremony and reception was held at the very recently finished The Strand at Rugby Quay in brisbane city. The Strand has a beautiful view of the river and lights from the bridge and was the perfect venue for Moria and Lewis to celebrate their big day.
