I was recently up at Maleny photographing the wedding of Annie & Kerrin at the House of Laurels.
As we drove up the the hills towards Maleny, through the thick fog, we thought we may have a little bit of interesting weather today.
But the weather cleared as we made our way to Annie and the girls and the (correct!) decision was made by Annie and Kerrin to take the gamble and have the ceremony out in the garden.
The moving ceremony went off without a hitch and we then went to a few locations nearby for some bridal party fun. We finished up in a paddock with some amazing afternoon light followed by one of the best rainbows I have ever seen. We then all scrambled to the cars as the rain started really poring down. Thanks Annie for being such a sport out in the paddock & dodging the many cow pats!
For the photographers out there… This was my first wedding with the all new Nikon 85mm 1.4G AFS. It is one awesome lens with a great look. I have included a note above the images that I took with it and at what aperture.

A certain AFL grandfinal rematch just happened to also be on that day.. Kerrin’s dad was keeping updated

There was quite a deal of tears and laughter during the ceremony

How is this for a rainbow!!

The colours were so intense!

Very shortly after, the heavens opened and we had to dash to the cars
