Amber + David | Cathedral of St Stephen Wedding

Amber & David were recently married at Cathedral of St Stephen in the city. The whole day was a lot of fun and it was a pleasure to spend the day with the very warm and very much in love Amber and David.

We started out with Amber  and her gorgeous bridesmaids at the Marriott hotel before heading to the boys who were waiting in anticipation at the church. St Stephens was bathed in beautiful afternoon light as the ceremony took place.

Following the ceremony, we went to a few spots around the city for photos before heading to the reception at Customs House. I love shooting at customs house and the view of the bridge is always awesome.

A great night then ensued with delicious food and entertainment.

The girls all wrote their names on the bottom of Amber’s shoe, whoever’s name was still there at the end of the night was supposedly going to be the next to marry.

I love this little moment between Father and Daughter.

Time to play ‘spot the bride and groom’ game :)

I love this reflection shot

David is a jeweler, so of course they had great rings!

Tamara + Paul | Whitsunday Destination Wedding

Another destination wedding in a beautiful tropical location this week. Yes I know, I have a hard life :)

This time I traveled up to the spectacular Whitsundays for the wedding of  Tamara and Paul. Tamara is the sister of another of my past brides Katie, whose wedding with Farren I photographed a few years ago .

Tamara and Paul chose to have their wedding at the Coral Sea Resort which has a great outlook over the beautiful Whitsunday islands and their crystal clear waters. The whole day had a fun relaxed vibe to match the location.

As if on cue, dolphins frolicked close by just after the ceremony.

How peaceful is this view..

Sam & Maggie | Brisbane city wedding

After the awesome E-Shoot we did with Sam & Maggie, both Steve and I were super excited to shoot their wedding.

We started off with the boys before heading across to the girls for the getting ready shots and then into the Latrobe Chapel in Paddington for a very uplifting Ceremony. It was lovely to see the family & friends attending really enjoy and embrace Sam & Maggie’s ceremony with even the best man playing some songs to the couple to help celebrate.

After the ceremony we walked down to a Paddington Antique store.  It was so much fun exploring all the interesting pieces in the store and Sam and Maggie really did look in their element. After the Antique Store we ducked over to Kelvin Grove before onto the Reception at Mirra at Fortitude Valley for the reception.

Mirra is an exciting new venue with an awesome decor and great atmosphere, perfectly suited to Maggie and Sam. Brilliant little touches were added throughout the venue by Sam & Maggie: from an engagement canvas in the entrance, a quote from the day on removable stickers on the floor, amazing table decorations and atmospheric lighting… the place looked and felt amazing.

Congratulations again Sam and Maggie.

Some of the great reception details:

Bernadette + Grant

Getting quite behind in our blogging again… very naughty I know..

To make up for it we will be blogging two more weddings today and more to come shortly.

First up is Bernadette and Grant who were recently married at the Botanical Gardens in the city with their reception at the Bardon Conference Centre.

We could not stop these two from laughing the whole time of the shoot which made it a lot of fun for us!

After the ceremony which included a butterfly release where the butterflies were quite keen to stay with Bernie & Grant, we went for a wander through the uni and the Gardens before heading on to the reception.
