I’m still catching up a little on my blogging…naughty me..
I recently photographed Michelle and Steven’s wedding out at Canungra.
Canungra holds a special place for me as I lived there for a number of years when I was growing up. (my dad was stationed in the army barracks there). So I have many fond memories of Canungra and exploring the surrounding countryside.
Michelle & Steven chose the lovely O’Reilly’s Winery as the venue for both their ceremony and reception. It is a beautiful place nestled in at the base of a valley bordered by a crystal clear creek. And it was beside this creek that Michelle & Steven chose to have their ceremony.
Following the ceremony we had some fun amongst the vineyards before heading into the wine cellar for the reception.
Be sure to read below the photos for some more detailed wedding information straight from the bride and groom.

Here are some comments from Michelle and Steven about their day:
“ Our ceremony and reception was held at the beautiful O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyards (www.oreillys.com.au/cvv) where our Wedding Coordinator Adele, Head Chef Rob and the whole team made sure every detail was just perfect.
My stunning dress was made to measure by Wendy Makin (www.wendymakin.com) and her fantastic team in East Brisbane who make the whole process so easy and exciting leading up to the big day. Their attention to detail, support and care is such a special part of selecting “the dress”.
Our Bridesmaids dresses were made locally in Brisbane (Dell, Brides of Belmont) and their stunning earrings were designed by the very talented Anita at Kezani (www.kezani.com.au). Nadine and Adrian from Rokstar (www.rokstar.com.au) did a perfect job of all our hair and makeup and we all felt sufficiently fabulous by the time they’d waved their magic brushes!
Our beautiful flowers were done by Veronica Jo Flowers (www.veronicajoflowers.com.au) and we also purchased some extra bags of petals from Simply Rose Petals (www.simplyrosepetals.com.au) for our red carpet and table scatters. Sheree from Champagne Cakes & Flowers (www.champagnecakesandflowers.com.au) made our two tiered marble mud and orange poppy seed cake with a mass of delicate sugar roses and white chocolate shards. Yum!
Our music was provided by G&M Solutions (www.gmsolutions.com.au) who have a great online selection and planning tool for those who like to choose their own tunes!
Of course, the wonderful Steve and Debbie from ST Photography (www.stphotography.com.au) for our photography and Barbara from Fisheye Studios (www.fisheyestudio.com.au) who captured all the video footage too. Both Barbara and Steve were fantastic to work with and we really enjoyed our 15 minute ‘night shoot’ with both of them and our best man to fire the flash! It was a lovely personal interlude amidst a busy day!
Our wedding night was spent at The Escarpment (www.escarpment.com.au) on Tamborine, home to 6 gorgeous secluded stone cottages and stunning private gardens. A huge selling point was the spacious sunroom we were able to use while getting ready. It gave us plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the gorgeous surrounds. And last but not least we’ve just returned from a fantastic honeymoon at Thala Beach Lodge (www.thalabeach.com.au), the perfect romantic hideaway just outside Port Douglas. ”
