Merry Christmas Everyone

We at ST Photography would just like to wish all our clients and friends a very Merry Christmas and a happy and safe New Year!

The studio will be closed until Monday the 5th of January. But please feel free to email us and we will attend to your query as soon as we are back.

I thought I would leave you with a photo from a recent newborn shoot. This is Thomas, an early Christmas present for Stephen and Lindy. Isn’t he adorable! I will post some more soon.

Christmas Lights

I have always loved this time of year. Everyone is in a cheery mood and it’s great catching up with family and friends.

But I have to say I love it even more this year as we get to share the excitement and wonder with our 2 year old daughter Georgia. She is just at that age where she is discovering the magic of Christmas and it’s great seeing her face light up with all that is Christmas. :)

A few nights ago we went looking at the christmas lights in our neighborhood. Needless to say Georgia and her best friend Portia had a ball and loved every minute.

Georgia and Portia taking it all in..

I adore this shot of Portia and Georgia having a cuddle

Merry Christmas !!

Kristy + Wade

For my last wedding of the year I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding to photograph than Kristy & Wade’s. They were married at one of my new favourite places, North Stradebroke Island. They had their romantic beach ceremony at South Gorge (complete with a Guitar & Violin seranade).

We then headed over to North Gorge for some location photos with that amazing aqua blue water as a backdrop. Finishing up at the Stradebroke Island Beach Hotel for the reception.

Thanks Kristy and Wade for making my last wedding of the year so much fun.

ps. I would just want to send out a plug for the guys at Bell Productions who once again did a great job with the videography.

A neat touch: Kristy and Wade had personalized water to hand out to guest.

Kristy’s pageboys wore Speedos and cute little bow ties

Samantha + Matiu

I recently had the pleasure of photographing the very sweet Samantha & Matiu’s wedding at the always lovely Glengariff Estate.

The afternoon was perfect and the ceremony went off without a hitch. We then enjoyed the great afternoon light amongst the vineyards before heading back up for a nice relaxed cocktail reception.

Samantha’s dress had a hint of pink through it

Quite fittingly, Matiu’s Dad was his bestman. He had recently undergone quite serious surgery, but managed to make it out of hospital to be with his son on his bigday.

Alison + Matthew

Alison and Matthew are a really sweet couple. They and their circle of tight friends have known each other since grade 1 at school. They are also both pretty smart cookies and have just finished their first year of their medicine degrees.

Their ceremony was held at LaTrobe Chapel, we then headed rather fittingly to the St Lucia Uni Campus for the location shoot before heading to The Summit restaurant at Mt Cootha for the reception.

Even though both Alison and Matthew profess to not liking getting their picture taken, I am pretty sure they enjoyed themselves a little bit… :)

The girls unexpectedly arrived 15 minutes early to the church (someone had to make a pit stop… :)   ) So the boys did a quick about face..

Serious….

Not so much….

Amanda + Vasile

I had been looking forward to shooting the wedding of Amanda & Vasile for quite a while. They are such a great couple with really gentle and warm personalities. I could tell that Vasile and especially Amanda were also really looking forward to their big day.

Unfortunately, on the eve of the wedding, Amanda sustained a rather painful back injury. But being the trooper that she is, Amanda (with the help of numerous painkillers) pushed on and refused to let a little bit of pain ruin her big day.

They were getting married in the wonderful and ornate Greek Orthodox church in South Brisbane. We then went to St Lucia Campus for photos before making our way to the Riverview hotel for the reception.

I would just like to wish Vasile and Amanda all the best for the future and hope Amanda has a speedy recovery so they can enjoy their belated honeymoon.

I would also like to thank the wonderful Naomi for helping me out on the day :)

Deb + Gerard

I recently had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of the fun loving Deb & Gerard. The day had one of those vibes where you just knew everyone is going to have a good time.

We started off with the boys at the family home before heading into a funky hotel in the city to shoot the girls. The ceremony was held at the cute little Latrobe chapel, we then cruised around looking for cool places to shoot and continue the fun.

Finally we made our way to Restaurant II in the city for the reception.

I loved this moment of Deb’s dad seeing her for the first time in her wedding dress

Rebecca + Jono

Rebecca & Jono travelled quite some distance for their wedding. Both live in London now but chose Brisbane as the location for their wedding so that family and friends could see them tie the knot.

It was one of those late november days when you aren’t sure if it is going to bucket down with rain or be absolutely sunny. The weather was so variable that the co-ordinators at Boulevard Gardens had to go from setting up an outdoor ceremony, to an indoor ceremony….and then back to an outdoor one! :)

But after a few delays the ceremony proceeeded without any further hiccups under beautiful sunshine.

I hope you enjoy the images.
