It has been a hectic week and only now am I getting a chance to catch up on my blogging… (Naughty Steve..)
Last Saturday I photographed the wedding of Nicole and TJ. They had a lovely ceremony under a big old tree at the Brisbane Botanical Gardens.Following the ceremony we then strolled through then park and enjoyed the afternoon.
Here are a few of my favs:

On Sunday I took the whole family over to Stradbroke island for the afternoon. We met up with Andy and Alice (whose wedding we are shooting over there soon) at the ferry and we all spent the afternoon exploring the island.
It had been many years since I had been over to Straddie and I really enjoyed looking around. I will definitley be holidaying over there again soon.
This is where they are hoping to have their ceremony. Gorgeous isn’t it?! (and yes, the water really was that blue!)

I can not tell you how nice it was to make my way to Greg’s house for the groom prep shots on Saturday. Instead of my usual fairly lengthy travel time at the start of the day, I had a leisurely 5 minute drive from my home!
And the day got better as I got to know Morgan and Greg and their great bridal party better.
The weather was a little menacing for most of the day, but it held off until we were well inside and enjoying the reception fun.
I hope you enjoy the images:
The boys calming the nerves with a little poker
My homage to a cool Jerry Ghionis shot
It was all hands on deck in working out the back of Morgan’s dress
I loved this little moment
After the ceremony we found some great light coming in through a window

On Saturday I was off to the gold coast to photograph the wedding of Katie & Farren at Avica resort.
It was actually the first and probably only time that I will shoot a wedding at Avica resort… Not because it isn’t a great venue with a lovely chapel and manucured grounds.. but due to the sad fact that they are shutting their doors at the end of this year.
But at least Katie and Farren got to enjoy all the resort had to offer on their special day.
I just want to give a shout out to a couple of the other great vendors who helped make Katie and Farren’s wedding day special:
Great makeup and hair by Tyson from Tyson Hair and Makeup
Awesome documentary style video coverage from the guys at Bell Productions
Enjoy the Images.
I often get to the boys while they are still shaving..but this was a first..
I loved Katie’s shoes, the lace detail matched perfectly to her dress
Both Katie and Farren arrived to the ceremony in style..
Farren by Helicopter:
After the ceremony, I took Katie and Farren back into the chapel as I had seen this beautiful shaft of afternoon light streaming in through the door:
In between the Entree’s and Mains, we ducked out for a quick 5 minute night shoot:
ps. Stay tuned for another post soon featuring the Lightsaber duel to the death between myself and Jarrod from Bell Productions

On Friday I photographed the wedding of the lovely Emma & Peter.
Emma & Peter live in one of my favorite parts of Australia..Sydney’s Eastern suburbs. But chose to have their wedding up here in Brisbane to be close to family and friends.
They had their ceremony at St Igantius church in toowong with the reception held at the always excellent Hillstone St Lucia.

On Sunday I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Chantal & Garrie at Victoria Park. Both Chantal & Garrie are really awesome people and it was so easy to capture the love that they obviously share. I hope you two had a great day and I hope you enjoy the images:

I loved how the ring bearer was holding the rings
