Kerryn + Vaughan

On the weekend I photographed the wedding of Kerryn & Vaughan. The weather was beautiful and sunny which was somewhat of a small miracle considering the crazy wet & cold weather we have been having lately..

But the sun was not the only thing shining and warm that day. Kerryn and Vaughan’s obvious love for each other was warming everyone up as well. :)

Kerryn & Vaughan did their location photos before the ceremony. Which can be a really good idea particularly in the winter months when it gets dark early. It’s also a special and intimate way to see each other for the first time:

Rebecca + Brendan

On Saturday I photographed Rebecca & Brendan’s big day.

They are both great laid back people who didn’t seem to worry too much about the small stuff. And I’m sure that outlook will do them well in married life. Congrats guys.

Emily + Justin

I really enjoyed the wedding of Emily & Justin. It was a nice intimate ceremony between just them and their closest family and friends. Emily’s sister’s beautiful home was the perfect location for just such an afternoon. After the ceremony we explored the light throughout the house to produce some great images.

Rachel + Nathan

It was raining pretty heavily at the start of the day when I got to Nathan and the boys for the groom prep. But the weather was far from Nathan’s mind. I could tell just by looking at him how much he was looking forward to seeing Rachel and marrying his best friend.

After their lovely ceremony we headed to Wellington Point to brave the elements and have some fun in the rain. Rachel & Nathan were such troopers considering the weather, but we captured some great images and it wasn’t hard to see how in love they are.

The reception was held at the cosy Lighthouse Restaurant, Cleveland Point. With their nice warm fire providing an excellent place to cook some marshmellows…mmmmm

Shoot with Uber Photography

I finished my week in Sydney by second (well third..) shooting with Chris & Kate from Uber Photography. It was great to see these guys in action and I had a real blast. Chris did some amazing stuff with the video light as it got darker and I am looking forward to seeing the finished images.

The ‘Uber’ family shoot

While down in Sydney recently I met up with Kate & Chris from Sydney based Uber photography. One of the things we arranged was for us to photograph each other’s family.

You would think that photographers would have heaps of family photos already, but this usually is not the case. Most of us are behind the camera and never get a chance to get in front of one and get great images of the whole family.

So we all headed down to the local park and went exploring:

e-Shoot: Emma + Peter

While I was in Sydney I spent a lovely saturday morning with Emma & Peter at Coogee Beach.

Emma & Peter are getting married up here in Brisbane but live in Sydney. They chose Coogee beach for their e-session because it has special meaning to them. And who could blame them. It’s a beautiful beach and it was a beautiful morning!…

Back from Sydney

Well we are back from our Sydney trip safe and sound

It was a wonderful mix of business and pleasure. Our family had a great time seeing the all the sights of Sydney. Georgia ate lots of icecream (with Daddies help…) and she even rode on a ferry & a train :)

On the business side it was busy as well. We managed to cram in meetings, an e-shoot, a family lifestyle session for two photographer friends and I also had the opportunity to tag along and second shoot with the awesome Chris and Kate from Uber Photography.. I will be posting more on each soon.
